 Don’t f**k with cats

Summed up, this documentary is about a woman who stumbles upon animal cruelty against a cat and get together a group of people on the internet to help track down who this is as his crimes escalate. Out of the 6 main types of documentaries, this one falls under preformative . The only thing about this documentary, is that since it is over a time scale of a decade, the way social media is used, is not really relevant now, in the sense of the way they are using facebook is they way people would use twitter now for example. This documentary is very effective as it shows the emotional connection between the filmmakers and the subject and also helps provoke emotion in the viewer whilst also educating people on the subject.

In Search of the Darkness

This documentary that is only available on shudder is an exploration of 80's horror films through the eyes of the actors, directors etc who helped make them and the impact it had on contemporary cinema. From the six styles of documentaries, this interview-style documentary also falls under preformative. This documentary is done well as it shows peoples' nostalgic connections to the past films but also how they have influenced  the cinematic world today. But having said that, i feel as interesting as this documentary is, it can get a little repetitive of having an interview clip and then showing a clip from the film.
